Food for Emotional Healing | Michelle Dixon

I am so excited to share with you this interview I did recently. It is so FULL of helpful information for those on a journey to heal emotional suffering, including a trauma history.

Food is medicine, and yet when we are on a healing journey, we often forget this simple but hugely transformational piece of the puzzle!

I have found in my own work with trauma recovery clients that diet (or more broadly, what you put into your body) is so important. It can either support our therapeutic work together (so that it ‘sticks’ or ‘takes’ better), or hinder it!

A nourished body provides a space for a nourished mind, and also helps the body make space for release of held trauma: emotion, memory, and negative self-beliefs.

Watch my conversation with Dr. Anjali to discover:

  • The connection between food, inflammation, and mood (the gut as the second brain);
  • An individualized approach to eating using the Ayurvedic approach, including the 3 main body types, their characteristics in balance and out of balance, and foods that will nourish each type;
  • How a nourished body supports emotional healing.

If you’d like to learn more about the different types of trauma, including acute trauma, ptsd, complex trauma, developmental trauma, as well as new insights into symptoms from panic attacks to memory problems – and ALSO learn holistic ways to begin to heal, you can get my free guide, just click the image below.
